 Controller

Reporting to the CFO, this step up opportunity of Controller is responsible for financial management and accounting including financial reporting and analysis, leases, maintaining accounting records, assisting in the development of financial policies and controls, and cash flow analysis. 

•  Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain full cycle accounting.
• Oversee and assist in the preparation of annual financial statements as well as interim reports.
• Develop, direct and implement best practices for accounting and finance matters.
• Oversee the maintenance of budgets and accounting records.
• Implement internal controls including accounting policies, procedures and work standards.
• Build effective relationships with employees, executives, and other stakeholders
• Prepare for and manage the annual external audit.
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and leases.
• Provide advice and assistance regarding analysis of cost efficiencies and performance metrics.
• Analyze, assess and build upon current accounting information to create enhanced management information.

Selection Criteria:

• Post-secondary Education in a Business Education program
• Professional Accounting Designation is required (CGA, CMA, CA)
• 5 years experience in a financial leadership role
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple challenges
• Very strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Great Plains Software desired
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, with strong skills in Excel.
