Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Residential Construction Engineer will be an integral part of the design and production teams. Primary responsibilities include field inspections and approvals as well as design review. This new position is located in Winnipeg with opportunities for advancement. Responsibilities include:

Reviewing/Improving schematic and detailed plans

Inspect homes during construction & after completion to ensure standards & codes are met

Co-ordinate with construction & drafting teams

Design, review and certify structural plans

Approve between 400 and 500 homes per year in the Greater Winnipeg Area
Selection Criteria
-
Minimum 5 years related residential construction experience (will consider commercial)

Structural Engineer or Civil Engineer with related experience

Must be a P.Eng; membership in CSC or WCA an asset

Must have a thorough understanding of Manitoba and Canadian Building Codes

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Softplan experience a strong asset

Strong organizational, planning, communication, time management, and teamwork skills

The successful incumbent will be detail oriented, thorough and meticulous
